Janine Despinette

Janine Despinette (1926 – 24 July 2020) was a French researcher and critic of children's literature.[1] She was born in Aix-les-Bains, France. She was known for creating the idea of "color literature" which says that illustrations have as much power to the reader as words and narrations.

Despinette died on 24 July 2020, aged 94.[1]
