Mackwiller is a commune. It is in Grand Est in the Bas-Rhin department in northeast France.

Archaeology[change | change source]

In 1955, substantial remains of a large Mithraeum were unearthed in Mackwiller by Jean-Jacques Hatt, archaeologist and director of the Musée archéologique de Strasbourg.[2] The find has since been displayed at museum.
