Omori is a 2020 role-playing video game made by indie studio Omocat.[a] The player controls a mute teenage boy who doesn't go outside named Sunny and his dream world version of himself, Omori. The player goes through Sunny's dreams as the other version of himself, Omori, and the player goes through the real world as Sunny. While going through the real world, they help Sunny overcome his fears. The game has many endings, and which ending happens depends on what the player does. The game has a turn-based battle system that acts differently to regular turn-based role-playing games by using the character's emotions as status effects. The game's story talks about anxiety, depression, trauma and suicide. It also features strong psychological horror elements.

Emotion chart in Omori. Happy beats Angry, Angry beats Sad, and Sad beats Happy.
Omori has a rock-paper-scissors-type battle system. Certain emotions are strong or weak against each other.

The game takes place in two settings: the imaginary world of Headspace and the real world. In Headspace, the player controls a group of four characters: Omori, Aubrey, Kel, and Hero. In the real world, the player begins with only Sunny, but gets Aubrey, Kel and Hero to join them over time. Each party member has their own skills that only they have to use in battle and to get around the overworld.
