(Bill Hart) William Hart (31 December 1946) Born in Wigan, Lancashire UK, was a Senior Lecture in Building Studies and 14-16 Schools FE Transition Tutor at The Manchester College for 22 years before retiring at 49.

  As a drummer he has since indulged his part-time passion for rock music into a full-time purpose for many music relalated endevours. 

 In 2010 he created an exhibtion in Liverpool featuring 100 guitars played at the Cavern Club to celebrate and commemorate 50 years of Mersey Beat. Called 'The Mersey Sound Wave' www.merseysoundwave.wordpress.com/tag/the-beatles/ it was hosted in The Beatles Story store on the Albert Dock for five weeks. It's main exhibit was a Cavern Club owned Hofner Violin bass guitar signed by Sir Paul McCartney on his visit to play in 1999.

  Inspired by the Mersey Sound Wave experience, 2011 saw him create an archive website called Lanky Beat, featuring many under-reported Lancashire bands of the rock and roll music era 1955 to 1975. After a 300+ collection of band details and photographs were collated, the we website was hacked and money demanded by the hackers for it's return. Bill did not respond to their offer.   The same year, a live music venue was acquired and the name Lankykats https://www.lankykats.co.uk/ was given to the twice monthly meetings in the north of Englands Standish Unity Club. Up to four live bands perform for charity each evening to a regular audience of 150.
In 2013 Bill volunteered to support Hospital Radio Wrightington as a radio presenter where the Lanky Beat 'Live' show was first to be aired. Invited guests appear on the monthly show to play, sing live and feature their recorded music.

  Around this time Bill began song writing and recording original material along with long standing musical partner Jack Carney. He also continued playing live music at venues in northern England under the names of Hart~Carney and trio Tom, Dick 'n Harry.

  In 2018, Bill attended Ukulele classes mainly as a hobby and to improve his musical ability. He now composes many new songs on the instrument and it features on certain recordings by Hart~Carney.

 2019 saw the opening of Unity Ukes ukulele evening as a one-per-month meeting at The Standish Unity Club. In 2020 Bill began teaching Samba drumming classes at weekly sessions but they were cancelled because of the Corona 19 virus lockdown.

  Bill has written and produced many self-published books including Lanky Beat I, II and III, in addition to a children's book series call Un-Putdownables I and II.

 Born on 31, 12, 1946 to William James (Meat Salesman)and Marian (Seamstress). Bill has one sister Elaine.
