Aytaç Yalman

Aytaç Yalman (29 July 1940 – 15 March 2020) was a Turkish general. He was born in Istanbul. From 2000 to 2002, he was General Commander of the Gendarmerie of Turkey. From 2002 to 2004, he was the Commander of the Turkish Army.

Yalman died on 15 March 2020 in Üsküdar, Turkey of COVID-19, aged 79. He was the first prominent person in Turkey to die from the disease.[1]
