Cumbia music is a Latin music genre. Cumbia music came from Colombia's Caribbean-coastal region. Cumbia music has become popular in Colombia, Mexico and Argentina.[1] Cumbia has dance and tropical music mixed. In the 1990s, Selena helped Cumbia music become more popular with songs like "Baila Esta Cumbia", "No Quiero Saber", "No Debes Jugar", "La Llamada" and "Como La Flor". She also helped "Technocumbia" rise in popularity with "Techno Cumbia". Shakira had also recorded several songs in Cumbia.[Source?]
