עברית: היום התקיים סיור הליכות ג'יין נשר בשכונת נשר הוותיקה, שם נולדה העיר נשר ב-1923. השתתפו 32 אנשים. הדריך רפי ברייר שסבו היה ממקימי המפעל. היה מעניין חלק ההתכנסות לסיור, הגיעו ותיקי נשר שחלקם לא היו בנשר שנים רבות. הגיעו מתל אביב, קריות, חיפה יקנעם ועוד. אנשים שלא ראו אחד את השני שנים. הגיעו גם אנשים שרצו להכיר את הסיפור של נשר. רפי הסביר והראה את המקום בו היו המגורים הראשונים של פועלי המפעל, היום במחצבת נשר הישנה. עמדנו מול שער מפעל המלט שנסגר וצפינו במבנה ההנהלה ובתים נוספים, הבית של בלה שניטלנדר שהוא מבנה לשימור, שם צולמה התמונה הקבוצתית, משם לבית של משפחתו "בית ברייר", הבית האחרון מבתי נשר שהוא מבנה לשימור. הלכנו לאורך רחוב הקישון ההיסטורי עד לעמדה המבוצרת הצפונית ביותר ששרדה מהשכונה הוותיקה, בית הקברות המוסלמי של חיפה בנשר, שם קבור הטרוריסט עז א-דין אל קאסם, משם לבית הדואר המנדטורי ברחוב הכלניות 1 מבנה לשימור משנת 1935, שעליו אנחנו מנהלים מאבק שלא יהרסו אותו. לכיכר ברחוב התשבי הכלניות שלפני יום הזיכרון וועדת השמות של עיריית נשר אישרה לקרוא לו גדוד 21. וסיימנו בארכיון ההיסטורי של העיר נשר במגינים 26. הסיור נמשך 3.5 שעות. לא כולם החזיקו מעמד עד הסוף. בתמונה הבית של בלה סל-שניטלנדר שהיה מהנדס אזרחי ממוצא הונגרי הבית נבנה ב-1928 והוא גר בו עם משפחתו עד שעבר לבית אחר. הבית הוא מבנה לשימור |
