Object history
Deutsch: Bregaglia entstand auf den 1. Januar 2010 und umfasst die zuvor selbständigen Gemeinden Bondo, Castasegna, Soglio, Stampa und Vicosoprano. Die Gemeinde Bregaglia und der damalige Kreis Bergell decken damit dasselbe Gebiet ab. Die Gemeinde übernahm das Wappen des Kreises. Der schwarze Schildfuss im Zinnenschnitt symbolisiert die ehemalige Teilung der Talschaft in Ob- und Unterporta und spielt an auf eines der markantesten Wahrzeichen des Tales, die «Müraia». Wappentier und Farben sind jene des Gotteshausbundes, zu dem das Bergell gehörte.
