Object history
Français : Ces armoiries apparaissent sur un sceau dès la seconde moitié du XVIIe siècle. Un fond de sable a été tout d'abord choisi, au début du XXe siècle, d'après un document peu sûr. Puis un fond d'azur fut aussi employé. Pour sortir de l'incertitude, les autorités de Saint-Prex, se basant sur le fait que leur village avait appartenu pendant tout le Moyen Age au Chapitre de Lausanne, décidèrent en 1921 d'adopter les anciennes couleurs du Chapitre, soit argent et gueules.
