Object history Der obere Teil ist dem Wappen des Ministerialengeschlechts von Hechthausen entlehnt, das hier seit dem 13. Jahrhundert ansässig war. Der untere Teil ist dem Wappen des Adelsgeschlechts Marschalck von Bachtenbrock nachgebildet. Dieses Geschlecht hatte bis 1850 hier das Patrimonialgericht inne, das das ganze Kirchspiel Hechthausen umfasste.
