Object history
Deutsch: Mainstockheim ist ein Ganerbendorf. Dorfherren waren die Markgrafen von Ansbach, die Abtei Ebrach und die Herren von Fuchs, die das Dorf gemeinschaftlich verwalteten. Die Dorfordnung war in einem Weistum niedergelegt, das 1549 erneuert wurde. Das Wappen leitet sich von einem Ortswappen aus dem 16. Jahrhundert ab. Der Wellenbalken und die Farbe Grün stellen die geografische Lage des Ortes in der Flusslandschaft am Main dar. Der Baumstock steht redend für den Ortsnamenbestandteil -stock-. Die Farben Rot und Silber sind die Farben Frankens. In der Literatur des 19. Jahrhunderts und bei Hupp fehlt das Wappen.
