Object history
Deutsch: Der blaue Wellenschildfuß mit goldenem Wellenbalken versinnbildlicht die Lage der Gemeinde an zwei Flüssen, an der Isar und an der in die Isar mündenden Moosach. Das Mühlrad symbolisiert die bereits 1138 genannte alte, am linken Moosacharm gelegene Mühle in Marzling, die bis in das 20. Jahrhundert in Betrieb war. Mühlen befanden sich früher auch in den Orten Hangenham und Rudlfing. Die rote Krone, eine Minderung des rot bekrönten Mohren aus dem Freisinger Hochstiftswappen, erinnert daran, dass Marzling schon 804 als Besitz der Freisinger Domkirche nachweisbar ist und von Mitte des 12. Jahrhunderts bis zur Säkularisation 1803 eine Hofmark des Hochstifts Freising blieb.
