Object history
Deutsch: Durch die Übernahme des schwarzen Löwen im goldenen Feld und des Bindenschildes in Rot-Weiß-Rot in das Gemeindewappen kommt die über viele Jahrhunderte bis 1802 andauernde Zugehörigkeit des Gemeindegebiets zum Erzstift Salzburg und dessen Vogtgericht Mühldorf (Unteramt Altmühldorf, Obmannschaft Niedertaufkirchen) zum Ausdruck. Für den Ortsteil Haunertsholzen ist schon um 788 der Bestand einer salzburgischen Kirche belegt. Das auf den silbernen Balken aufgelegte Schwert bezieht sich als Attribut des heiligen Martin auf das Patrozinium der alten Pfarrkirche von Niedertaufkirchen.
