Object history
Deutsch: Die blauen Wellen im Schildfuß versinnbildlichen die Lage der Gemeinde am Inn. Der absteigende silberne Mauergiebel stammt aus dem auf Siegeln überlieferten Wappen der Ritter von Chlammstein (Klammenstein), die seit dem 13. Jahrhundert ihren Sitz auf der Burg Klammenstein oberhalb von Nußdorf hatten. Obwohl das Geschlecht schon um 1424 ausstarb, waren die Klammsteiner wegen ihrer Beteiligung am Bau der Kirchen in Nußdorf bis in das 19. Jahrhundert nicht in Vergessenheit geraten. Die Farben Silber und Blau verweisen auf die über viele Jahrhunderte währende Zugehörigkeit des Gemeindegebiets zu Bayern.
