Object history
Deutsch: Im Gemeindewappen sind Elemente aus den Wappen zweier für den Ort wichtiger Adelsfamilien zu sehen. Die schwarzen Wolfsangeln stammen aus dem Wappen der Freiherren vom Stain, die 1518 die Ortsherrschaft erwarben. 1659 kauften die Freiherren von Freyberg-Schütz-Eisenberg die Burg und das Schloss Landstrost und den Ort Offingen mit seinen Rechten. Sie führten drei goldenen Kugeln in ihrem Wappen.
