Deutsch: Das Gemeindewappen verweist durch die Heiligenattribute Schlüssel und Drache auf die Patrozinien der Pfarrkirchen St. Peter in Schwabering und St. Margaretha in Söchtenau. Beide Kirchen sind schon im 10. Jahrhundert urkundlich belegt. Die Besiedlung des Gemeindegebiets geht auf die Zeit der bajuwarischen Landnahme im Frühmittelalter zurück.
