La statue de Karni Mata avec les rats La mystique Karni Mata est considérée par les dévots comme une incarnation de Durga. Elle vécut au XVème siècle. Le temple qui lui est consacré est situé à Deshnoke (village à 33 km de Bikaner). Il est peuplé de rats sacrés qui sont en liberté et circulent entre les jambes des visiteurs. Les bâtiments du temple datent du XVIIème siècle (époque de Ganga Singh). La façade est en marbre blanc finement sculpté avec des portes et volets en argent massif enrichis de reliefs.
