Description
English: The Damascus Gate, the most beautiful of the Old City of Jerusalem's Gates. Built under the direction of Suleiman the Magnificent in the 16th Century, you can see the earlier Roman arch below the entrance to the left.
This is a photo of a place that is recognized as a heritage site by the Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel.
