DescriptionThe new 2024 version of the Utah Historic State Flag or U.S.S. Utah version.svg
English: This is the newest version of the Utah Historic Flag as depicted in Utah Code 63G-1-503(2). It is based closely upon the 1913 Utah flag, which was created to be displayed in the ward room of the U.S.S. Utah battleship. For this reason, it is sometimes called the U.S.S. Utah version of the Utah flag. It is rendered in the style of the 2011 Utah historic flag created under the direction of Colonial Flag by graphic artist Perry Van Schelt. It varies from the 1913 flag by having 45 stars (Utah is the 45th state) in the pattern of the 1896 U.S. Flag. Each U.S. Flag also has 13 stripes (the 1913 version inexplicably had more than 20 stripes per Flag). One of the stars on the U.S. Flags is a little bit larger and stands for Utah. Other adjustments are: The eagle's talons are behind the six arrows, the beehive is slightly adjusted to match the shape of the new Flag of Utah, and the lettering matches the 2011 flag choice of a sans serif font.
