Homogeneity is a word that means being similar. It is often applied to mixtures. Mixtures that are homogeneous are those where it is not possible to tell the components they are made of by looking at them. The mixture will also look the same everywhere. Milk is an example. homogenous means that only the solvent can be seen. pure substances are homogeneous.
