José Carreira Marques

José Carreira Marques (25 August 1943 – 6 August 2021) was a Portuguese politician.[1] He was a member of the Portuguese Communist Party. Marques was born in Amadora, Portugal. He was a member of the Assembly of the Republic from 1976 until 1983. From 1983 until 2005, he was Mayor of Beja.

Marques died on 6 August 2021 of cardiac arrest in Évora, Portugal at the age of 77.[2]
