Alexander Mikhaylovich Ovechkin (born September 17, 1985) is an ice hockey player that currently plays for Washington Capitals of the NHL where he is the captain.
Ovechkin was picked first overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He also played for the Dynamo Moscow of the RSL from 2001 to 2005 and again in 2012 because of the 2012 NHL lockout.[1]
