In general, allies are people or groups that are working together to achieve some common purpose.
When written with a capital A, Allies usually means
- Allies of World War I, the countries who fought together against the Central Powers during World War I from 1914 to 1918
- The Triple Entente, three of those countries: the French Republic, the British Empire and the Russian Empire
- Allies of World War II, the countries who fought against the Axis Powers in World War II from 1939 to 1945.
