In Greek mythology, the Anemoi (in Greek, Άνεμοι – "winds") were wind gods. Boreas was the Greek god of the cold north wind and the bringer of winter. Notus was the Greek god of the south wind. He was had hot wind and was thought to bring the storms of late summer and autumn. He was feared as a destroyer of crops. Eurus was the Greek god of the unlucky east wind. Zephyrus, or just Zephyr, is the Greek god of the west wind. This is the gentlest of the winds.
