Anton LaVey
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Anton LaVey was the person who started the Church of Satan, a religious group practicing Satanism. He wrote several books outlining his beliefs. His first book was called "The Satanic Bible" and then he wrote another book called "The Satanic Rituals."
He was born in 1930 in Chicago, Illinois and died in 1997 in San Francisco, California, where he lived most of his life. The Satanism of Anton LaVey did not include worshipping Satan. The Church only uses "Satan" as a symbol. Satanists are atheists and sometimes agnostics - they don't believe that God exists.
