Aryan Nations

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Aryan Nations are an American anti-semitic, neo-Nazi[1] and white supremacist[2] terrorist group. Richard Girnt Butler founded the group during the 1970s.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) marked the Aryan Nations as a terrorist threat.[3] In a review of terrorist groups, the RAND Corporation called it "the first truly nationwide terrorist network" in the United States.[4]

Between the late 1970s and 2001, the Aryan Nations headquarters was just north of Hayden, Idaho.[5] The Aryan Nations had a number of state affiliates.
