Bangor is a town in County Down, Northern Ireland.

Population facts[change | edit source]

On 29 April 2001 the United Kingdom government had a census and saw that there were 58,388 people living in Bangor. They also saw that:

  • 20.2% of people in Bangor were under 16 years old and 20.3% were over 60 years old
  • 47.7% of people were male and 52.3% were female
  • 82.7% were from a Protestant background and 10.6% were from a Roman Catholic background[2]
