Battle of Amiens (1918)

The Battle of Amiens was a battle during the First World War. It happened after the Second Battle of the Marne. It started the Allied Hundred Days Offensive. It was one of the first battles were tanks were used (this is called armored warfare). It took place between 8th and 11th August 1918. The battle was an a victory of the Allied forces.

Like other battles in the war, there war very high losses on both sides. On the German side, about 30.000 people were killed or went missing.
