Cornelius Alvin Smith (born 7 April 1937)[1][2][3][4] is a Bahamian politician. He was the 10th Governor-General of the Bahamas from 28 June 2019 to 1 September 2023.[5]

Smith was the Ambassador to the United States starting in 2008. He was also Minister of Transport, and Aviation of the Bahamas.[6][7] In 2018, he was sworn in as the deputy Governor General.[8]
