Crystal Lynn Bowersox (born August 4, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She was runner up in the ninth season of American Idol. Her debut record was Farmer's Daughter, released December 14, 2010. During 2010, Bowersox was hospitalized due to type 1 diabetes (she was diagnosed one year prior to that). She was born near the Toledo, Ohio region.
