Denpa (satellite)

Denpa (電波, denpa, literally, "electromagnetic wave") is the name of a Japanese artificial satellite which was put into orbit. Denpa was a radiation experiments satellite (REXS).[1]

The launch was a project of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science of the University of Tokyo.

The satellite was sent into orbit on February 19, 1972.[2]
