A director is someone who is in charge of something. It can mean slightly different things in different places.

  • The director of a film is the person who controls how it is made.
  • The director of a stage play is in charge of deciding how it should be performed.
  • In the United Kingdom, the people in charge of a company are called the Board of Directors.
