Discharge (hydrology)

In hydrology, discharge is the outflow of water and other substances of a lake. The discharge describes how many water or a solved leaves a lake in a certain amount of time. The amount is usually expressed in \frac{m^3}{s} (cubic metres per second).

The discharge is the opposite of the inflow.
