An editor is a person who makes changes to documents. They can change the order of words or pictures, or add new words or pictures, usually so that the edited product better represents what the editor, the person doing the editing, meant to show.
The word editor can also mean:
- a computer application for editing an electronic text or media document
- a machine for editing video tape or movie film
- a person who edits movies
