Emily Erin Deschanel (born October 11, 1976[2]) is an American actress. Deschanel was born in Los Angeles, California.[2] She is best known for her role as the main character in the television series Bones.
She is the elder daughter of Caleb Deschanel and Mary Jo Deschanel (née Weir). Her sister is actress Zooey Deschanel.
