Fall has several meanings:

  • One of the four seasons of the year. Winter, spring and summer are the other three. See autumn. Many fruits are harvested in autumn.
  • Falling or other downward movement, is the result of dropping something, jumping, or an accident in which a person or object is no longer supported, e.g. something rolls or slides off a table, one loses control over one's legs or bicycle, etc.
  • A waterfall is sometimes called a fall or falls for short
