Simple English Wiktionary has the word meaning for:
Flat things do not curve in any direction. It is not possible to have straight lines in all directions on a surface that is not flat.
In music "flat" can have two (related) meanings:
- A flat is a note that has been lowered a semitone (see note (music))
- Flat can mean a note that is not in tune: The pitch is too low (see intonation).
