Historic Environment Scotland

Historic Environment Scotland took over the work of Historic Scotland and the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland in 2015. It has to investigate, care for and promote Scotland's historic environment. It has to look after more than 300 properties of national importance including Edinburgh Castle, Skara Brae and Fort George. [1]
