Jeremiah Wilson "Jay" Nixon (born February 13, 1956) is an American politician. On January 12, 2009, he became Governor of the U.S. State of Missouri. He is a member of the Democratic Party of the United States.

Nixon's ancestor, John Inskeep, was mayor of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1]
