Joseph A. Doorley Jr.

Joseph Aloysius Doorley Jr. (October 12, 1930 – July 31, 2022) was an American lawyer and Democratic politician. He was mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, from 1965 to 1975. At the time of his election, he was the youngest mayor in the city's history.[1] Before, he was a member of the member of the Providence City Council from 1963 to 1965. Doorley Jr. was born in Providence.

Doorley Jr. died on July 31, 2022 in Narragansett, Rhode Island at aged 91.[2]
