Kaye Thurlow

Kaye Thurlow-Faulkner is an Australian water skier and writer. She competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics, where waterskiing was a demonstration sport, in the three events. She finished second in the Tricks event and in the Jump event, and finished 5th in the Slalom event. [1]

She competed at five Water Ski World Championships between 1967 and 1975 winning a total of eight medals; two in 1969 (bronze and silver), three in 1971 (2x silver and bronze) and three in 1975 (2x bronze and silver).

At Moomba Masters she won a total of 24 gold medals, including eight overall titles. Thurlow became eight times overall Australian champion. In 1978 she became Victorian Sports Woman of the Year. She was inducted into the International Hall of Fame in 2009.[2][3]

Thurlow married Colin Faulkner. They wrote a book on waterskiing titled Australian Water Skiing.
