Kent Levaughn Harris (October 15, 1930 – April 9, 2019)[1] was an American songwriter and record producer. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Harris was best known as the writer of novelty tunes such as "Shoppin' for Clothes" and "Cops and Robbers".

Harris died on April 9, 2019 in San Diego, California at the age of 88.[2]
