Leticia Ramos-Shahani

Leticia Valdez Ramos-Shahani (September 30, 1929 – March 20, 2017) was a Filipino politician[1] and writer. She served as a member of the Senate from 1987 through 1998 and the Senate President pro tempore from 1993 through 1996. She was a member of the Lakas Kampi CMD.

Ramos-Shahani was born in Lingayen, Pangasinan, Philippine Islands. She was the sister of President Fidel V. Ramos. Ramos-Shahani died at a hospital in Taguig, Philippines on March 20, 2017 from complications of colon cancer and pneumonia, aged 87.[2]
