The List of popes from the Borgia family includes three names.[1]
The Borgias, also known as the Borjas, were a powerful Italian family. They were from Spain originally.
During the Renaissance, the Borgias were notable, including three popes:
- Pope Callixtus III (1455-1458), born Alfonso de Borja[2]
- Pope Alexander VI (1492-1503), born Rodrigo Lanzol Borgia[3]
- Pope Innocent X (1644-1655), born Giovanni Battista Pamphili,[4], the great-great-great-grandson of Pope Alexander VI[5]
