Nicolas Seiwald (born 4 May 2001) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Austrian Bundesliga club Red Bull Salzburg and the Austria national team.[1]

Seiwald began his career in 2009 with the youth academy of FC Red Bull Salzburg. He played his first match for FC Liefering against WSG Wattens on 24 May 2019.[2]

He made his debut for FC Red Bull Salzburg on 21 November 2020 when he was in the starting XI versus SK Sturm Graz.[3] His international debut was on 17 August 2021 when he played versus Brøndby IF in a Uefa Championsleague qualifing match.[4] After the 2022-23 season he moved to RB Leipzig.[5]

Nationalteam[change | change source]

Seiwald played for all Austrian youth nationalteams. In November 2021 he was part of the A-national team.[6] His debut was also in November 2021 when he was in the starting XI versus Israel.
