Picardy (called Picardie in French) is a region of France. It is in the north of the country. Amiens is its capital. Almost 1.9 million people live in the region. 186,000 of those in the capital.

Agriculture is very important for Picardy. There are many products, for example: potatoes, cereals and vegetables. So Picardy has also the name Jardin de France, meaning 'Garden of France'.
