Richard Allen "R. J." Umberger, Jr. (born May 3, 1982 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is a professional American ice hockey center that currently plays for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL) where he is an alternate captain. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks with the 16th overall pick in the 2001 NHL Draft but did not play a game with them. He also played for Philadelphia Flyers from 2004 to 2008. He played college hockey at Ohio State University.
