Riyadh (Arabic: الرياض ar-Riyāḍ) is the capital city of Saudi Arabia. It is in Ar Riyad Province in the Najd region. It is in the center of the Arabian peninsula on a large plateau and it has 4,260,000 people (about 20% of all the nation's people). Riyadh is also a very modern city with tall skyscrapers.
