Ronald Clyde Gardenhire (born October 24, 1957) is the manager of the Detroit Tigers. He was born in West Germany. He was a shortstop for the New York Mets from 1981 to 1985 and managed the Minnesota Twins from 2002 to 2013. He replaced Brad Ausmus as manager of the Tigers following the 2017 season.
