Rovinj (Venetian and Italian: Rovigno; Istriot: Ruvèigno) is a town in Croatia, on the north Adriatic Sea. It is on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula and is a popular tourist resort and an fishing port. In 2011, 14,294 people lived there. Istriot, a Romance language spoken in this part of Istria, which are some people who still speak it. The town is officially bilingual, with both Croatian and Italian.
